Macht das Abdecken meiner Haare Minoxidil weniger wirksam?
Nicht, wenn du wartest, bis es trocken ist. Der größte Teil wird in den ersten Stunden nach dem Auftragen aufgenommen, und die Cap kommt erst danach auf. Wenn überhaupt, hilft die Routine: Produkt, das sich am Kissen abreibt, tut nichts für dein Haar.
Ist es unbedenklich, meine Kopfhaut über Nacht abzudecken?
Die dokumentierten Probleme stammen von enger, fast ununterbrochener Abdeckung über feuchtem Produkt. Die Night Cap ist das Gegenteil: eine lockere Kuppel, über trockenem Haar, nur für die Nacht. Wenn du eine Kopfhauterkrankung hast oder tagsüber eine Perücke oder eine enge Mütze trägst, frag zuerst deinen Arzt.
Garantiert sie, dass mein Haustier sicher ist?
Nein, und sei misstrauisch gegenüber jedem, der das von seinem Produkt behauptet. Die Cap verringert einen Kontaktweg, nämlich das Kissen. Haustiere kommen auch über deine Hände, deine Haut, verschüttete Flüssigkeit und die Flasche selbst damit in Kontakt. Wasche deine Hände, bewahre die Flasche außer Reichweite auf, und wenn du denkst, dass dein Haustier Kontakt hatte, ruf sofort deine Tierärztin oder deinen Tierarzt oder die ASPCA Poison Control (888-426-4435) an. Warte nicht auf Symptome.
Soll ich wegen meiner Katze auf orales Minoxidil umsteigen?
Nicht allein aus diesem Grund. Orales Minoxidil ist für viele Menschen eine gute Option, aber nicht für jeden die richtige. Die häufigste Nebenwirkung ist unerwünschte Behaarung an Gesicht und Körper, in einer Studie mit 1.404 Patienten bei 15,1 % der Fälle berichtet. Wenn du schon mit unerwünschter Behaarung zu tun hast, zum Beispiel durch PCOS, ist das wichtig. Wenn die Anwendung auf der Haut bei dir wirkt, lässt sich das Risiko für dein Haustier mit deiner Routine in den Griff bekommen: früh auftragen, trocknen lassen, Hände waschen, Cap auf. Welche Form du verwendest, entscheidest du gemeinsam mit deinem Arzt.

Seide und Satin sind gut für dein Haar, aber nicht wasserdicht. Rückstände ziehen in den Stoff ein, und die Haube landet auf deinem Kissen, auf dem Nachttisch oder unter deiner Katze.
